Current status of the old family PC (a Gateway POS):
I've managed to Hackintosh it quite easily, but it needs more RAM and has a really shitty integrated graphics card so it's not worth the money or effort when my older Power Mac is already faster. It did however yield a nice dual-usb header that I can add to the front of the Power Mac

Axiotron's new Modbook Pro - WANT. Well, what I really want is a DIY kit that I could hack onto my current macbook pro when I upgrade or an older powerbook... This is why I'm so in love with the iTab mod. Very interesting design decisions comparing the original Modbook and the newer Pro - the industrial design is not quite as solid as Apples, but still quite good and makes for a fascinating comparison.
super cool service that will do 3D printing for you - great for custom parts for hacking/modding, and oh, I don't know, model railroading perhaps...
Mac Mod 2008 Contest
always a favorite of mine

have to say though, that I'm not a huge fan of the winners, my favorite is by far the iTab mac tablet, probably because i want to do the same sort of mod myself - even have an okay laptop lcd i could probably use. The Bricked Mac is also a favorite because, well, LEGO hackintosh and mac mini in one!!
