I hate when people give in to irrational fears

because it often puts them in greater danger. Massive pet-peeve. Why should I call someone to let them know my plane arrived safely? Of course it arrived safely. On the other hand, shouldn't I be calling every time I drive somewhere safely?? That's massively more dangerous.
